Sage & Lavender Syrup
I am constantly trying to budget money and my number one guilty pleasure is going to a coffee shop and getting an iced bevy before work. I have found that crafting my own simple syrups has been an effective method for me to save some cash and incentivizes me to make my matcha at home.
Ingredient list:
1.5 cups granulated sugar
1.5 cups water
1/2 cup fresh sage (or 3 tbsp dried)
1/2 cup fresh lavender (or 3 tbsp dried)
Pinch salt
Instructions:
Boil water and sugar over medium heat until sugar fully disolves
Add in sage and lavender and turn off heat. Steep for 20 minutes
Strain all herbs and pour into a liquid into glass container
Add to your morning matcha or coffee. Delish both iced or hot!
